Doodlebari is a drawing, coloring and early-learning app for children aged 3–8. This policy explains what happens to information in the Doodlebari Android app and on doodlebari.com. We built both for children first: we do not ask for, and do not knowingly collect, personal information from children.

The short version

• There are no accounts for children or parents.
• Pictures, artist profiles and progress stay on your device. We never receive them.
• Ads in the app are child-directed and non-personalized (no interest-based ads, no remarketing).
• The app does not use the advertising ID, location, camera, microphone or contacts.
• Purchases are handled by Google Play; we never see payment details.
• Grown-up actions (buying, opening links, saving, printing, deleting) sit behind a parent gate.

Children's privacy

Doodlebari is directed at children and is designed to meet the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the children's provisions of the EU and UK GDPR, and the Google Play Families Policy. We do not collect names, email addresses, photos, voice recordings, location or any other personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information (for example by emailing us), contact us and we will delete it.

Information in the Android app

Stored only on your device. Artist profiles (a nickname a grown-up types, a buddy avatar and an age mode), drawings, coloring progress, stickers and settings are saved in the app's private storage on the device. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. Android cloud backup is turned off for the app, so this data is not copied to backup services. Uninstalling the app, or using Parent Zone → Privacy & data → Delete all data, removes it permanently.

Permissions. The app only requests internet access and network state (to load ads, content packs and purchases) and Google Play billing. It does not request access to the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or files. The advertising ID permission is explicitly removed.

Voice guide. Spoken instructions use your device's built-in text-to-speech engine. Nothing is recorded, and no audio is sent to us.

Content packs. The app may download free or purchased page packs and the content catalog from our servers at doodlebari.com. Like any web server, ours receives technical request data (such as the IP address, app version and time of the request) in order to deliver the files. We use it only to run and secure the service, keep it only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting, and never use it to identify or profile anyone.

Ads. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Every ad request is marked as directed at children (child-directed treatment), limited to content rated G, and requested as non-personalized. This means no interest-based advertising and no remarketing. To show and measure ads, Google may process limited technical information such as the IP address and device type, as described in Google's policies at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Banner ads appear only on menu screens (such as the category list and the gallery) and an occasional full-screen ad may appear after a picture is finished — never while a child is drawing, coloring or tracing. A one-time Remove Ads purchase turns ads off.

Purchases. Remove Ads and page packs are one-time purchases handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never receive card numbers or other payment details. Every purchase is behind the parent gate. Google's privacy policy applies to Google Play: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

App updates. The app may use Google Play's in-app update feature to tell you when a new version is available.

Information on the website

No accounts. Children and parents never sign up on doodlebari.com.

My Art. Pictures saved to My Art are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. They are never uploaded. Clearing your browser data deletes them.

Cookies. We use a small number of essential cookies: one keeps the language you picked, and one protects forms against misuse (CSRF). They contain no personal information.

Analytics (cookies only with your permission). If we turn on Google Analytics, it runs only on pages for grown-ups (such as the home page and the blog), never in the kids' play area. It uses Google Consent Mode: until you accept the cookie notice, no analytics cookies are set and Google only receives anonymous, cookieless signals (such as a page view) that cannot identify you. Analytics cookies are used only after you tap Accept. Google signals, advertising features and ad personalization are switched off. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of each page.

Website ads. If we show ads on the website, they appear only on grown-up pages (such as the blog), never in the kids' play area, and are requested as non-personalized.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. The only third parties involved are Google Play (downloads, purchases, updates), Google AdMob (in-app ads) and, if enabled with your consent, Google Analytics and Google AdSense on the website. They process data under their own privacy policies.

Keeping information safe

Everything a child creates stays on the device. Our website and servers use HTTPS encryption, and access to our admin systems is limited to our team.

Your choices and rights

Because we don't collect personal information from children, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Data on the device can be deleted at any time as described above. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have rights to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information, and to object to processing. To use them, email us at [email protected]; we will reply within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, show a notice in the app or on the website before the change takes effect.
